The Chippewa Hotel Waterfront believes in nourishing talent and commitment. Previous employees have achieved managerial status in every aspect of our operation and have also gone on to exciting and fulfilling careers within the hospitality industry and beyond.
Internship assistance is provided by all managers in every field within the hotel trade. Please indicate on your application if you intend to work towards a course requirement. All employees are eligible for our ‘Employee of the Month’ and ‘Employee of the Year’ award and are rewarded for their exceptional efforts.

2023 Employee of the Year
We are pleased to announce that Imelda Garillo is our Chippewa Hotel and Lilac Tree Suites Employee of the Year! Thank you for your dedication and hard work this season. It is employees like Imelda that make the Chippewa and Lilac Tree two of the top hotels on the Island. Imelda received a $300 bonus check and a $1.00/hr raise for the 2024 season. Congratulations and keep up the great work!

We have numerous job opportunities available on Mackinac Island. Our season runs from the beginning of May thru October.
