Everything was great and your hotel was wonderful.
Bart the manager was excellent along with the staff and cleaning crew. They all did an amazing job.
We will be back again for sure this next season and maybe even sooner!

Chippewa Hotel is amazing!!! We stayed June 18-20, 2020, our room was on the top floor and it was absolutely beautiful we were very spoiled. Everyone that we came in contact were very very friendly, Bart, Matt, Ntombi and Archie are only some of the names I can remember. We wish we would have stayed another night just to relax, sit on the balcony and people and boat watch. We cannot not say enough about our stay at the Chippewa and we cannot wait to come back again.
Thank you everyone for making our family vacation and 40th Anniversary celebration very memorable. Highly recommend to anyone to stay at the Chippewa on a visit to Mackinaw Island.

Enjoyed every minute of our stay here! From check-in to a knock on our door in the evening offering milk and cookies, to breakfast the next morning at the pink pony, everything was exceptional! Looking forward to returning next year!

The hotel is extremely well run. Our bags arrived instantly, check in took seconds, our room was spotless and well laid out, view from huge waterfront balcony was perfect. My wife and two girls loved it too. Will 100% return. Stayed in room 208 (3-room suite w/ 3 queen beds and double balcony). For reference we stayed at The Homestead for three days prior and can safely say the Chippewa is a much higher quality product.

I visit the Island once or twice each season, so I’m no longer a tourist. I know the Island better than my own town. I have stayed at the Chippewa probably more than any other hotel. There are many to boast about on the Island, but the Chippewa is always on my list to look at, and the reason it often gets my reservation is that it consistently checks all my boxes. Its clean, the rooms are lovely, the location is good, it has an elevator and the staff is friendly. Now that can be said about most of the Island hotels, so usually my deciding factor is price. If you are comparing accommodations and can get the same for a better rate, why not. Yes the Island is enchanting, but the practical side of me wins when I’m booking my room.

Stayed twice in 2016..Once in the spring and again in the fall….We having been coming to the Island for 30+ years, staying at many hotels. This is our favorite… Great food and bar…If possible get a balcony suite….We are looking forward to staying here again this spring and fall….I also posted a favorable review on trip advisor, as I use it as a travel tool…..

If you are looking for a magical and fun place to relax and step back in time, look no further. Mackinaw Island is filled with places to shop, eat, or sit taking in the beauty that few places can offer.

The Chippewa Hotel takes the stress and worry out of where to stay during your visit. Beginning with the friendly and courteous staff taking your reservation, to those at the front desk you meet upon your arrival, you feel at home. Each room is carefully decorated with all the amenities that you will to make your stay enjoyable. The 5 star service will have you planning your next trip before you leave. Don’t wait too long to get your stay reserved as they book quickly. Once you are there, you will understand why.

The Chippewa Hotel has become a family tradition. We’ve been going as a family for close to two decades now. The Chippewa experience is a summer highlight for us all. Some years I frequent the Island multiple times in the summer and I’m never disappointed. Bart the front desk Manager is wonderful – the entire staff will assist you in anything you need. The hotel stands out in its charm and amenities. The pink pony is an institution of fun and activity on Mackinac. The live entertainment is always top notch. Indoor or outdoor seating preferred? Why not both – the back patio is stunning also featuring live entertainment (check their daily calendar for times and featured talent). Harbor views and an over-sized hot tub also provide great additions to the not-so-secret back patio magic. The suites are very generous in size and balconies feature travel-envy views of the straights. The new pink pony shop will leave a dent in your bank account as you’ll want to purchase every item in the store. What tasteful and fun resort-wear and gifts. Truly one of the better shops on the island for memorable souvenirs you’ll enjoy for years. I hope everyone can stay at “the Chip.” at least once in their lives. Hopefully i’ll see you there one day – I’ll meet you at the Pony! Cheers to the hotel that’s become our favorite summer place.

Mackinac Island was the choice for the wedding and the Chippewa the choice for the wedding party to stay in. We made our reservations in October of 2014 for June 2015. The hotel was the perfect choice for the wedding reception as well. We had 65 guests, had a beautiful view of the lake, the food was marvelous and the service outstanding. Plan ahead as the hotel is a favorite of many. Each room has an outstanding decor and a view of the water or the street. Both are exciting to watch. The Bride and Groom planned to return on their anniversary to this wonderful hotel. I will too as it is the BEST1!

Dear Chippewa Hotel,

Thank you very much for sending my lost items back to me! I very much appreciate what you’ve done. Thank you so much for going above and beyond to make sure my family got our items back, and I will always remember this kind deed you have done for us.
Sincerely,
Samuel Fernstrum
